Something worth investigating would be the origin of those large white
cargo planes that landing at the operation near Groom Lake. Evergreen,
Polar Air???

Funny thing about that Pop Mechanics website. They still have the
article on the website where the author missed the turn to the front
gate of groom lake. He drove to the Range 61 repeater site (not sure
it it was there at the time, though it is gone now) and claimed the
base had moved.

Here it is:

That gate isn't guarded, but you might get hit with live bombs or
gunfire. As always, it is best not to cross into any restricted area.

That was CIA cover story planted in the magazine. People have
gone to the location that was discussed, and it was diserted.
On the other hand, construction is in high gear at Groom Lake,
and truck traffic going in and out of the base onto public
roads is still very steady. I doubt you would see that much
activity around a closed base.
