The antenna certainly is a blade antenna. This is pretty common
practice. In fact, I use a rami blade on a piazza pan for a mil-air
antenna.

The truck has a shovel on the side, probably for shoveling dirt on the
fire. I assume there is a real fire-truck on the base, but it wasn't
parked behind the firehouse. IIRC, ufomind has a good photo of the
firehouse.
I would expect basecamp to have more than your average number of
kludges since the place is of dubious ownership. [Nellis, TTR, Langley
Parachute Club?] That is, how do you assign assests to a place that is
off the books? So they probably scrounge up a light bar here, a blade
antenna there, etc. [As you probably know, some Groom Lake assets show
up on the books as Odgen Air Logistics.]
