Think about a cyclotron and the rapid spinning used to speed and accelerate 
teh sub atomic particles.

There is a similar cyclotronic effect on the particles due to centrifugal force.
They attain energies of many TeV and would absolutely rend any material going through them.

Read a book on elementary quantum mechanics if you have trouble following the explanation.

I could describe it in terms of spin-spin interactions but that is probably too
