I am standing here now in a university in California, a university of
intellectual curiosity and intellectual creativity, a New Eden, a university
Kingdom of Heaven. How who out here in radio land has chosen a university of
technology, a technology of light and magic, over the university where I now
stand. Let me tell you that your choice is the choice which destroyed the
world in the Year of Ford Prefect, Arthur Dent, and Zaphod Beebebrox, your
Lord. New Eden will endure, while your University of Light and Magic will be
