I cannot speak for the Panchen Lama or the Dalai Lama, but certain
Machiavellian constructs (the end justifies the means) of the spiritual
universe are seen as morally debasing and obscene. If you have a old
religion of demons and Tibetian dragons, then you need to be enlightened and
empowered with your new knowledge and understanding of the spiritual
universe around you and cast these demons aside. Being a slave to your
spiritual past does nothing to take you into the future.

I have recently spied in a popular magazine a Sakhmet Kat talking to a
supermodel. The woman is married; why do you wish to break up her marriage
in the name of the sacred Sakhmet Kingdom of Heaven. You cannot fight the I
AM religion if you yourself are walking on a bed of moral thorns. Go home to
your mother on Sunday for dinner!
