Oddly enough, people, episode 2 of _Things we forgot to remember_
[airing on BBC Radio 4 at 8pm BST next Monday] is about the Armada, and
it sticks it to the myth in much the same way that my man The Sentinel
does above. Except that we send Michael Portillo to Mousehole to prove
it, have twangly incidental music, talk to Nick Rodger, etc.
