I've noticed this on other maps but " this " aerial view shows this
nicely.

if you drive down the " infamous " east entrance road to Groom Lake
, one thing you notice is that ( evidently ) nearly " all " the
traffic on this road turns into the 1st or 2nd farm road turnoff.
and after you pass the 2nd farm turnoff , the tracks in the sand
show very little traffic on the east entrance road ( as compared to
the farm road turnoffs. )

taking a look at the 2nd farm , the one nearer to the base boundary
..... nothing looks interesting using this areal view map ........ BUT
...... looking at the 1st farm ( via the 1st farm turnoff ) , THAT
so called farm has the tell tale " ejecta strata pattern " . these
patterns develop where a LOT of material is dug from under ground
and a bull dozer is used to smooth it out and spread the material to
conceal it's presence. these " strata " always appear as weak,
barely visible lines that seem to radiate out from a common center
( the hole ) the first farm appears to have some " underground "
significance . it might be a " automotive " entrance for the base ,
or some kind of ventilation shaft / escape entrance for the
underground facilities that ( if you look around at these maps much )
has clearly expanded to a LARGE area east of the alien highway.
you could say this might have been a mine , but if it was mine
tailings, " they " wouldn't have taken so much care to make it
disappear. unfortunately , bulldozer tracks in the desert are
extremely hard to make disappear. they last a LONG time .

to see another example of what I'm talking about , go to the initial
groom lake picture ( the one this link brings up ) and go to the
east side of the dry lake and position the upward pointing elbow
( right off the dry lake bed ) of the infamous east entrance road ,
in the upper left corner of your screen and in the lower , center , of
your screen ( just above the words "aerial photographs " ) you
will see another " hole " like I describe. they always look like a
meteor crater with " ejecta " lines radiating away from them in
straight lines. these are holes , usually large ones. dug with an
effort to conceal the dug material piles .
