<polite snip> Mind if I chip in with a thought or two? I believe that if we could've had dinner with the late James J. Angleton, and if we had asked him;" What is the Cardinal Rule of counter-intelligence ?"He would have answered the following:" If you are sitting on a park bench on a hot day, dreaming of an icecream cone, and a stranger walks up out of nowhere and says, 'I bought two icecream cones but my friend doesn't want his. Would you care for a icecream cone for free?' Then,...No matter how impossible or incredible it may seem - you're being set up."Mixing a little truth with carefully planted lies designed to lead you away from the "real" facts and towards a false conclusion is a good working definition of disinformation. Your own curiosity or hunger for the few facts of BL's story are what makes you vulnerable. Of course, hindsight is always 100%, hmmm? Now some people jumped all over BL in support. So where are the follow-on Walk-ins, retired workers with a story to tell, etc. ? All the ones who were encouraged by the attention and belief ( by some) that BL got at first and so came forward over the years as it seems we can point to in Roswell. In hindsight, the smart thing for the UFO community to have done with Lazar's story would have been to ignore it. Completely. If Lazar is truthful this might've provoked greater revelations ( and he should have those if he is truthful). But if it were Dis-info then his handlers would have to consider whether to release more "truth" with even greater lies to achieve thier goals. Either that or leave BL out in the cold. The first possibility would increase our real knowledge (assuming there's something to know), the second would mean a dis-info mission had finally failed. That in itself would be a huge victory for those who support the "Cosmic Watergate" theory that Stanton Freidman advocates. Just my .02 cents worth, Andrew
" all that " ... plus I have additional experience with Bob ( far removed from the alien stuff and area51 and I knew something was " up " with Bob well before I heard about his area51 adventure. ) that induced me to conclude that he and the government were " pals " to an extent that he felt VERY protected. he felt comfortable circumventing certain laws and regulations and had " no " fear of getting in trouble doing what he was doing ! ( at a time when others doing the same thing were literally shaking in their shoes ) I pointed this out to him , actually, and since he has changed his ways related to what he was doing ( somewhat , at least hah aha ) . Bob is a pretty good guy and ( to me ) an interesting , entertaining person . That old area51 mess that he was associated with is so old and tired, nowadays , that it's hardly worth rehashing over and over again. it's been done to death by the best in the business and no one ever got anywhere doing it. suffice it to say that if the " government " wanted Bob they could have VERY easily had him by the gonads many times. ( related to what I'm speaking about here ) since " they " didn't mess with him , and he brazenly did what he did nationwide in front of god and everyone , I think says a lot ! it doesn't necessarily require " direct " evidence to come to a correct conclusion about Bob ! my advice would to be to " shine on " the Lazar saucer saga and seek something more modern and reliable ! ( like a real chunk of a saucer !! ha ha ha ha an alien in the hand is worth two on zork, etc ) It's an interesting story but alas just another episode of the " Tehachapi Base " soap opera, I'm afraid ! just my twoooo cents worth as well ! k6.1.1
