Greetings,
My questions are for those of you who've actually *been* in the
area, meaning the area
around the site that is approachable by the general public (er, and maybe
a wee bit more).
I promise: No UFO questions. <wink>
1. Have you ever seen any technology that was secret (or at least unknown)
at the time,
but which was later revealed to the public more "officially" ?
For example; It was in the late 70's I think that the F-117 was
suposedly testing out there.
Theoretically you might've spotted it back then. Ever see anything
that primo ?
2. Related to question one, If they were testing something like the F-117
today, would you
be likely to spot it ?
3. And continuing in the same vein,.... Does the size and geography of the
base pretty well
rule out most visuals? In other words they could be having F-22's
running intercept missions
on incoming B-2's from Whiteman and you'd never know they were there
except by audio
and/or maybe if you happened to be at the perimeter when the B-2's
overflew ??
I hope these questions are appropriate and on-topic. My name is Andrew and
I'm in the D.C.
area with a probably zippo-chance of ever finding out for myself.
Enjoy the Day,
Andrew
I was there during the A-12 development which was a "black' program at the
time. Wasn't nearly as much hoopla about the area in those days. I didn't
see anything else unrelated to the A-12 program. And this program was kept
under wraps until Pres. Johnson revealed the derivative YF-12 in 1964.
