I've been in  both those  fairly well known  bunkers at
 roughly  N 37.81027 W 122.47681
as I  have an old friend that works there.

I'll see if I  he has access to the location you mentioned and
go take a  look ... might be interesting.  the bridge has a lot of
interesting old places hidden away as well.

theres a LOT of old , abandoned , underground infrastructure
all over the city ..... lots of stuff from times long past.  of course
it's mostly all locked up and gated , etc, to keep out the homeless
people .  
it'd be kewl to have one of those many  homes that have a basement 
entrance to some sections of abandoned tunnels.  if they are still
standing after all the past earthquakes, they'd probably be safe to
use.  I could have a lot of fun with my own private rabbit hole !

etc.  )
