actually  that's my wife  ...... she's quite a bit younger than I am
and  I'm tagging along nowadays .  people often mistake her for "
staff " ...... not  realizing that I've been retired for 11 years
...... the notes she takes are her own ..... ( now ) I'm the one  just
along as a guest ( for the ride so to speak ) .  I was only 49 when
they put me out to pasture ....  so I'm still just a youngster so to
speak. h ah ah ahhahaah   I love going to those,  for all the  free

yes I did  know that  LU's  papers had disappeared off the web. 
I'm sure he knows that as well ... but  people think I'd be closer to
him than I am ..... but I'm not even close enough to him to even
strike up that conversation .. nor would  I , under the circumstances.
there's been a LOT of selective editing of the web ever since the 
homeland boys got into their stride .. much of it  understandable and
probably " all " of it if you understood more about it  all !  ( free
speech ... what's that ????  hahaha )   

besides the " Betz " stuff .... try looking up the NUWTL  for example.
I have an old search here that had 187,800 returns on it .......
a LOT of  it government posted .. but ........today   exactly same
search returns only 69 items , most of it nothing to do with them. (
just like the betz stuff  )  I know of piles more , but I'll  not
mention them here ( see what a email addy  would do for you ?? )

you are correct that I have " some " notes about the stuff .....
because ( as you hinted at )  my interest in geo / electro magnetics 
and the bizarre  dc magnetic " tri pole "   properties of the devices.
a prospect that numbs your mind when you consider all the
implications. 

herze the " Betz " info....... you can probably  research this info
and  get all the news publications again , unless they have
disappeared as well <g>

antoine betz was the name of the family that kept the device ( while
it remained in civilian hands ) .....  Terry Matthews  ( a member of
the Betz family ) was the one that actually found  it on the ground.
it was found  on  march 27 , 1974 and ran as a AP  ( associated press
) item on  April 12 , 1974 , out of jacksonville , Fla.  " Mysterious
sphere has a mind of it's own  "  ...   that should help you get
started ......

there are numerous university studies and scientific  studies , up to
and including when they accidently discovered how to open it by poking
a thin wire into a hole they discovered in it. it was the size of  a
bowling ball  . ( completely destroying the " alien " angle because it
contained " some what " recognizable  electronic
elements  of that era )   if you want the science references , it'll
take a email addy to get them. 

the first  known civilian  possession of one was by a little girl in
France in 1941 ...... she captured one flying by on a hillside in a
butterfly net. it was 6" in diameter.  others were documented  found /
captured in 1943 and 1944 as well.   they ranged in size from 6" to
over 24" in diameter ... some were reported as larger .....  pictures
of a few of them exist .......  some were " reported  "  to be
triangle shaped and a couple of them as flat discs .  when flying in
the air , they gave off a ( usually orangish < plasma arc ? >  glow  )
but some people reported other colors as well ( as would be the case
with corona or plasma discharges ) .   

all the  many european events  mostly ended with the end of the war
... after the war . " most " ( but not all by far ) were spotted /
found in the USA. 
the last one  reported being the Betz  family event.  if you were "
fishing " here for  some "  crossover  association "  information or
details .... I have none of that ... only what is reported  on the web
or discovery channel, period.  even in discussion about this , I've
never heard any of those inferences .... you might logically draw them
.... but I've never been privileged.  

I have a  8" X 11"  newspaper like photo of  a hippy looking dude (
Terry Matthews  I'd guess  ) sitting and admiring the device at a
university " blue ribbon panel " meeting about the device. if you want
that let me know and I'll post a copy for you somewhere ( in a binary
n.g.  ) and let you know where it is. if you give me a working email
addy  (  chicken ??  ha hah a h ) I'll send you more than that , way
more.  

 what you suggest might sound logical  but is still just speculation.

you can think of this tho :
starting in the  early 1950 's, and continuing to present times , the
government went NUTS recalibrating  their radar systems using 
various sized spheres.  type " radar calibration spheres " into Google
for about 174,000 hits and detailed info ......

this used to be a POPULAR subject in the area 51 / nellis environment
... as a matter of fact . so many were dropped at  nellis / area 51
and ttr .. that at one time there was a boundary fence with those
spheres perched on top of the posts.  you can still see a nice one on
top of the stand up game machine in the alien inn in rachel ..... 
in the back of the  bar room.  they were common sights , lying around
in the desert back in the 50's and 60's.   the military even towed
them on ropes ... trailing behind aircraft to simulate them "
shadowing " an aircraft .... the early ones were ( like the betz
device ) made of a special type of  spun aluminum .......with modern
ones being inflatable aluminized mylar " like "  in nature.  still
ranging in size from 6" to 3' or so . the inflatable ones can be
inflated to " float " in the air when dropped from an aircraft  ( like
balloons ) and aircraft can fly  in among them to make the needed
radar calibration tests .........   

that .. and the fact that NO betz or related  references are now
available on the web should tell you something  ... 
ha hahahah aah ah  hah   ( it's all you need to know , isn't it ? )
