sclupture coal mine !

I'm glad someone knows - I had no f*ckin idea.

Buzzzzzz WRONG! ;-)

hahahaha ha ..............

maybe one of Michael Heizer's creations ? ......... reclaiming a
coal mine as art ?

You win, well, nothing actually, though you can call yourself alpha
geek on Friday. It is the location of Heizers city.

ha haha ha h .......

after seeing at least the lower " art " he is making I'm starting to
be disappointed with him ! h ahahah I can't tell much about the
upper site from the sat pictures but I " hope " that lower site was
an old coal mine to start off with and he has " groomed " it for
beauty some way ! if he actually dug a hole like that .... there are
/ were ( now mostly reclaimed into lakes etc. ) hundreds of nearly
exactly the same looking pits all over eastern Kentucky , West
Virginia and s.e. Ohio. none of those were ever seen as art by the
locals ! haha ha ha ha

thanks for bringing the satellite pics to our attention . like
everyone , I've heard the stories about Michael and wondered what
he was up to but never actually thought of looking at his home site on
the satellite pics. dunno why .... just never thought of it ! maybe
I'll take that same thought to some other places I'd overlooked ( no
pun ) and see them as well ! <g >

Now for the secret as to how I found it. I was using google earth,
looking at the "community" postings. Now generally I don't look that
far to the east, but I had just finished looking at a Nellis/DOE (I
forget) transmitter site I found mentioned in a document further to the
east. I spotted the notes regarding Heizer, then went back to CLUI to
check the accuracy.
