This is where the spots raised my interest...

The standard color image:

The high-res black & white image:

Look a bit different, something missing, is the round object a well or what?

uh ....... it's a safety plastic lined pool of liquid evap ......
no wells ( left ) here ....... well ...... a lot of ( new ) wells but
only for sampling the aquifer for ground water contamination. keep in
mind that " round object " is quite large ! just think black
plastic !

take a look at this site to see excellent examples of what I'm
speaking of , and you can drive here and look for yourself on
public highways ......... uh ....... be sure to wear your lead lined
jock shorts tho ......... ha ah ha ha ha aha ( an industrial
safety filter mask highly recommended if the wind is blowing
much ) a VERY exciting site to visit for sure ........

And as for the second spot, note the assembly on the roadway above it...

you're asking for too much information ..... much of it you could
easily get for yourself . I'll help on this last one . the rest you
will have to get for your self .........

know what one of these are ?? ............

well ......... think the same thing ....... a rad scrubber /
quantization station ....... not for people but for large semi trucks
, trailers .... but especially for those rad waste containers they
bury in those landfills ..........

handy .. dandy ..... just drive the truck / trailer rig through it and
that's all there is to it ! know what those public scales / weigh
stations on the highways look like ! ........ it's pretty much the
same with this ! you can't just bury stuff indiscriminately without
knowing , quantively speaking , what you are doing ..... that plus
what about the industrial hazard / exposure risk elements for the
workers and equipment ? ........ you gotta know everything ...
nowadays .. absolutely everything !

keep an eye on that site I mentioned above ( with the plastic lined
pools of material that you can drive to ) ..... soon you'll
see the DOE set one of those up in that location as well. a smaller
one to be sure ..... but exactly the same thing .. for exactly the
same reason.

not much mystery or intrigue in most of this ... just plain ole
standard radiological waste management activities .... been
going on for decades ..... and will continue for zillions more !!

take the tour ....... like miso said ....... you'll geta ' good " look
and probably love it to boot !

Here is another place that caught my interest recently...

hahaha . this is an easy one ........

BTW, you can abbreviate the mapper links after the "&t=" style tag...
