Yeah then why does the tall cylinder thing in the back ground have a
shadow
that's off to the left of it and nothing else has on and it extends from
the
base outward none of the Dish's have any and they are free standing
also,
sun is from behind the camera and the shadow is off to the left of the
cylinder......... Choppers looked good though...The worst part is that
the
shadow for the tank is squared to the top and not at an angle as it
should
be one corner higher than the other....better luck next time.

I've tried being nice. You are clueless.
A few people on this group know me personally and know I don't doctor
such photos. End of discussion.
miso's stuff is just what it is . his pictures are not doctored.
he has no reason to doctor his pictures ( other than enhance
some of them ) . I am intimately familiar with a lot of the subjects
of his work, having been in the same places and seen the same stuff
myself, many many times. in my experience , none of his pictures have
ever represented a site incorrectly. he gets some great shots of
interesting places. he also gets shots of " stuff " that comes and
goes rapidly ( intentionally ) and posts those as well. ( either you
get this or you don't )
there could be things he has photographed that he has not posted.
has he " hit the big one " yet ??? no one but miso ( a couple of
security contractors and a few range chiefs perhaps ) really knows.
realize that he is absolutely aware of the possibilities related to
stuff he posts ...... he's seen what happens to people that push
the threshold too far . examples of people that do that have been
made more than once.
for " that " picture in question .... if I were you , I'd be
wondering more about some of the subject material than
the correctness of the picture. several kewl items
of interest are to be seen in that photo ........ think you can
spot " any " of those ?? one has been the topic of discussion
here more than once . mountains are to be made
( of mole hills perhaps ?? ) of some of that photo subject material.
it's like you are missing the obvious looking for the absurd ! I
don't mean this as anything personal , just your lack of personal
knowledge about miso seems to be obscuring the interesting value of
his contribution with ( esp ) this photo. just because " we' don't
go on and on about it here, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
miso has to be tops ( very probably the best ) of the " get real "
posters here. I doubt that anyone spends as much time as miso
on the job, so to speak. he's one serious dude when it comes to
that. if I had stuff to hide , I'd hate to have him dogging my sites
!! ah ahah ah ah aha
spend some time here and look at miso's contributions.
you'll see that your criticisms are unfounded.
( if that's what they really are ! )
No, I am not critizing just making observations I worked on the SR-71
program at Eglin AFB back in the seventies, having worked in the photo lab
and as a photographer I can see at least three things out of place with that
photo. If you and who ever feel that it is criticism, Then be it so! But as
taught in the service "half of what you see is fake and none of what you may
hear maybe true". Rumors and propaganda! A diversion creates a opportunity
elsewhere. "enchancing" photos is doctoring, some call it retouching but
anytime a photos is altered in any shpe or form it's been doctored. I care
not whom the person is altering is altering, if you feel angry at the
statement that it is altered then present the photo "un-enhanced" .

Since the photograph is not altered, your photo-interpretation
abilities are certainly questionable.
Adjusting contrast is not doctoring a photograph. The image through 26
miles of atmosphere is lacking in contrast, not to mention a heavy
blue cast due to Rayleigh scattering. I used a longpass filter to kill
some UV, but still the blue channel is much too strong.
When I post the panorama, please feel free not to comment.
Incidentally, the base used HH60s.
