The number N702 is listed as a Cessna 172. That chase plane in the photo
looks more like a Cessna 210 due to the retractable gear and the lack of
wing struts. Also the 210 is more likely to be used as it comes in a
pressurized version which would be needed if the Predators are followed up
above 10 or 12 thousand feet.
Why would you need pressurization if the altitude is only 12 grand? A
pilot doesn't even need supplemental oxygen unless he goes above 12
grand for more than 30 minutes. With supplemental oxygen he's good to
a lot higher. A turbocharged engine on the other hand would probably
be needed for those hot high density altitude conditions.
