I don't even know if you really exist or if you are just an illusory

Nonetheless, I have been looking for years for a way to contact you,
for these simple reasons:
1) I've always believed that you are real and good guys, and
That is touching. The psychology class also like it, when the lab mouse sees
them as the good guys.
2) that you have developed such an advanced technology that could help
us poor mortals to suffer less, and
You incorrectly presume that advanced technology is the cure to your ills.
3) that you would be willing to share that advanced technology with
us, because that would be just fair and... human.
You equate yourselves with us. We don't. You have only been "anatomically modern"
humans for less than 200,000 years. We have a very much longer history.
Now, after so many years, I feel suddenly just tired to go on looking
for you unsuccessfully. Both from my personal experience and from the
experience of many other serious "alien researchers", I have
understood the following:
1) Maybe you are NOT real at all; or
2) maybe you are real but you don't want to help us humans; and
Here, we are at the end of a very long supply line and the round trip is
measured in centuries of planet time. The one way to for us see an improvement
in the human race is to come back in 200,000 years -- by when natural selection
might have made a few more improvements to you. Races that undertake
interstellar travel must needs take a long term view, and only races that take a
long term view undertake interstellar travel.
3) there is apparently NO WAY to contact you if you don't want to be
contacted;
4) IF you are in touch with a few "selected" humans only, then you are
helping a few individuals only, and you are leaving the generality of
us "normal" humans to suffer and to die, and that is NOT fair at all.
There are no special arrangements with a few individuals. These are flights of
your fantasy.
It is NOT human, if you understand what I mean.

So... as it seems there's no way to get in touch with you, I have
decided to use a simple way to try and deliver my message to you: this
open letter published on USENET.
My message is: HELP US NOW, please!!!

I consider this letter as a sort of "message in the bottle" (I guess
you do know what that is) and it is my very last attempt to get in
touch with you and ask for your help in my lifetime.
The round trip to our supply base is longer than your lifetime. We cannot help.
I am NOT interested in your universal secrets, cosmic intrigues, dirty
conspiracies, and I DON'T surely want your help in order to make money
or get power. I am not even interested in who or what you are or where
you come from.
Universal secrets, cosmic intrigues, and dirty conspiracies are in your own mind.
We give no help to make money or get power; that would distort natural selection.
All I ask for is HELP. Help not to suffer. Help not to die. Help not
to loose the people we love, our parents, our children, our
friends...
Please, please understand. If there were no death, no replacement of the old
with the new, there would be no humans, no earth mammals, no vertebrates -- you
would all still be primordial ooze. It is the cycle of life which has lifted you
up to be human, and which will lift you further up still as it has already
lifted us.
These days are especially sad for me, as I am loosing my father who is
in a hospital where no one is able to eliminate the cancer that is
trying to kill him. He is suffering, I am suffering.
So many people are suffering like that in this world.
If you can, please, just HELP MY FATHER, HELP ALL OF US!!!!!
Pain and death, are not a necessity, and are not inevitable.
Your people already have the ability to manage pain. Death is part of the
natural cycle of life.
This mysterious life we live must have a higher purpose than just to
suffer and to die.
Natural selection has endowed life with a purpose: to beget new life to replace
itself, before it passes away in the natural cycle of life. You may take on
additional purposes yourself, by your own volition.

There are billions of you and only a handful of us at this location. Do you
