Any idea what they are?
Egads, a post on topic!
Slater Lake, named after

The Roadrunners website does not mention the lake, so I gather what
you find on the net is folklore. That is, the roadrunners were there.
Everyone else has second hand information.

has the generally accepted story about the facility.
The area supposedly had Russian radar, much like the S-4 area of the
TTR. However, I don't see many man made hills in the area. Generally
the radar is placed on a hill. I suspect this is to make it safe to
drive/walk by the facilities. Of course, the Rolands have no concern
about parking next to my car with the dish operational during Red
Flag. There is a spot that some think is a crater, but it could be a
mound:

Interesting. I wasn't aware of Slater Lake when I was there in the early
days and I did not know Slater. But I did know Col. Vojvodich who he
mentions in his bio on the Roadrunner page. Vojvodich was an A-12 test pilot
in the early days.
