IS THE C.I.A. AMERICA'S FRIEND? By Lynn Stuter
November 27, 2007 NewsWithViews. com
A nationwide news agency, supposedly of the conservative persuasion,
recently
sent out an e-gram containing items for sale loosely commemorating
patriotism
and the "holiday season." Tucked amidst the offerings of DVD's of John
Wayne's tribute to America and Cecil B DeMille's epic classic, The Ten
Commandments, Brynner and Charlton Heston, was an ad for a CIA cap,
stating,
"The Central Intelligence Agency is known as one of the world's most
secretive and effective government agencies. You can stand with the men
and
women of the Central Intelligence Agency an important force in the
war
against terror by proudly wearing the CIA cap."
So, did you buy the hat?
I always thought of the CIA as sloppy and bungling with an alternate agenda.
What was that old line Donald Sutherland said in "S.P.Y.S."...
The Russians are quick, the Chinese are quiet and the Americans are sloppy?

Personally the NSA scares me more, with their ability to wisk people away as
terrorists indefinitely without probable cause.
Seriously, if you do not feel at least partially owned and/or misled by some
segment of government, your internal psychological checks and balances are
not properly tuned.
The only thing our govmint is in denial about, is how close we are getting
to another civil war here at home.
History proves that gov entities need a proper periodic gutting and coring
to restore their original intent of serving the people they represent.
History also bears review that such entities often quickly evolve to support
the few as they "manage" the many, like cattle.
Man are we ever there now!
Yup, give me some creature comforts and an ideal to stand behind with an
annual tax return check, and it's all good?
