You can drive into it from near Manson's old place.
I've seen RV'rs camping at the abandoned airstrip/
RR grade just inside the North border.
You'd be on the top of a hill overlooking most
of what's happening.

They used to give tours. Don't know if they still do.
At least they openly exist and describe what they do.
No doubt there are things they do that aren't quite
so public. But I think they're a little more like
the NTS than A-51.

He is camped at the Warm Springs repeater site. I am amazed anyone got
up the hill since there has to be snow.

It has a nice view. You can see the TTR and much of the norther Nellis
range, plus Basecamp.

I have a book on Death Valley. The Mason ranch is supposed to be a
pretty nasty drive. I think I will do it only if I can get another 4WD
to follow.
