Even then, when evaluating LOS, it's difficult to
predict RF. Radio waves bend,
reflect, go through some objects.
I sit in my back yard on an HT and I
don't have Line Of Sight to anywhere.
Still I'm able to hit all kinds of
stations, including mobiles and other HTs
on simplex, not mountain top machines.
