I half believe these guys on ATS that
got busted by the dudes. There
are some real dumb ass kids in Alamo.
I must have missed something.
Did somebody really try and storm the gate?

You occasionally run into these jerks from Alamo on ATVs and dirt
bikes. The poster to ATS was in a car with some other people, and not
associated with the dirt bike jerks. The story is they went to the
front gate in the early AM when these jerks on dirt bikes were out
there, and the dudes cuffed and detained them even though they didn't
cross the border.
My recollection is you can find some jerk crossing the border on a
dirt bike on youtube.
I ran into some ATV jerks in the Garden Valley. They started to circle
my SUV, blocking my movement. There was an older guy with them. I got
out and made him have a come to Jesus moment with me, and he got the
jerks to buzz off. He gave me the "we're from Alamo and this is our
land" crap. I knew damn well it was BLM land. After the OJ trial, the
next set of jerks that block me will be informed that blocking my path
is kidnapping in the state of Nevada.
There is no shortage of jerks that will try to convince you something
is theirs in the desert. BLM sells maps with private land. I think it
takes two maps to cover the area. It is best to order than by phone
since one office is in Tonopah and the other one is in Vegas. Lincoln
County is under the Vegas BLM.
I don't run into arseholes every visit It's more like every 3 to 4
years you find some major league jerks, and always on ATV or dirt
bike.
You can buy Forest Service maps of the area, but I didn't find them
particularly useful.
