I tracked down their "webmaster", whose last name is Howland, and I
got it credited.
I emailed The Howland company at the time, I wasn't sure they knew what
the picture was, and they'd used it by mistake - but it transpired they
knew exactly what it was.
Glad you got the recognition for it.
Lazygranch, I would like to pirate one of your photos. The photo is
of Sandia at TTR from June. That photo would look great at the top of
one of my pages. I would for sure give your site full credit. Let
me know thanks
OK. I could use the link. Since I don't pay for bandwidth, just link
to the photo, then put in a readable (i.e. text) link forwww.lazygranch.com/a51sel.htm
What is your website?
So you are doing TTR tours? I have had some great camping at the TTR
during Red Flag. There is nothing like being buzzed by blacked out low
flying aircraft. The TTR is enemy territory, so you can see the Soviet
era stuff fly there. And no, you can't have the MI-24 shot where the
pilot is looking at the camera. ;-)
I swear if you could put up with a week of TTR camping, you would see
some sort of test. The reliable rumors I hear about the place sound
pretty good. The story goes they test new engines at the TTR prior to
putting them in test aircraft. The other rumor is they test avionics
in test bed aircraft. Both sound plausible.
The DOE gets treated so shabbily compared to the USAF. The DOE has
it's own bus for Sandia. It looks pretty old, maybe from the 70's. The
USAF bus looked like a regular transit bus. If you toured the NTS,
you can see their budget for facilities is mighty small. Then again,
there is talk about Sandia moving that facility elsewhere.- Hide quoted text -

Thanks for the permission. My site iswww.theparadiseranch.com
Remember I am nowhere near your knowledge of the Nellis Range, so you
can't judge my site on your knowledge. I am but a student of yours
learning everyday. It is so nice to actually discuss and read about
Area 51 with knowledgable people and not put up with some of the jerks
on DLR. Thanks again!
LazyGRanch, Think about this. What about an Area 51 Reasearch
Expedition Weekend. It would happen this spring or summer. You could
help lead with your knowledge. We could camp out there starting on a
Friday. Hit Rachel, the front gate, maybe Tikaboo. It would be free
and last from maybe Friday to Sunday. It would be for anybody
interested in digging around on the range. We could drink a few
beers, roast some hotdogs and watch the sky at night. What are your
thoughts?
