That is correct, although it was more turning himself in rather than
tracking down. The worker, a former Lincoln County Commissioner, used
his vehicle in an aggressive manner toward the crowd on Groom Lake
Road. Unfortunately for this dude, in the crowd was a BLM ranger who
not only got a look at the driver, but also the license plate number.
After the BLM started making noises about issuing a subpoena to obtain
copies of surveillance video from a certain government facility, the
guy nobly turned himself in to the Lincoln County Sheriff.
Undoubtedly he did it because it was the right thing to do. He paid a
$100 BLM fine by mail and was certainly read the riot act by base
security.
