Miso, what info can you give about one of your pictures of thenew
towerat Groom showing up on The Howland Company website. Are they
saying that they built it or had anything to do with it? And do we
know for sure it deals with RCS?

Oh, I'm not too sure how much I want to say on usenet. Howland has
permission from me to use the photo, so you can infer we had some
contact. Now they can't exactly say they built thatarea, but hey, it
is on their website....doh!

There is a funny thread on DLR about the photo when it first appeared
on the net. You might make an interesting discovery if you find the
thread and read all the posts. This will be a test of your powers of
observation. I'll give you one clue: "traffic analysis."

If you never read those James Bamford books on the NSA, do so. At
least "Body of Secrets." You can learn a lot about methodology in the
information gathering business. The claim is his "Puzzle Palace" is
required reading for NSA recruits. His writing style improved over
the years. "Shadow Factory" is a pretty easy read. Puzzle Palace was a
bit disjointed at times, and occasionally the information included was
damn silly. [What NSA director had sex with a farm animal. Hey, too
much detail!]

I couldn't find the thread on DLR. I read almost all of the post from
this site. Look, I can replace batteries in a radio, that is about
all the technology I am familiar with. I read two interesting ideas
for the towers purpose: the blimp or some type of observation
platform. Then you said, you know whats in thenewhangar. Hello,
what??? I am convinced you are theArea51guru. Can you help
clarify thenewhangar and thetower? Please!!

Is the thread in question. I really shouldn't say anything beyond
"traffic analysis".

I doubt I ever said I know what is in thenewhangar. Mostly because I
don't know. I had guessed that it might be a building to hold multiple
UAVs, but the taxiway markings make me believe that is not true.

Here is what you said in a post that had me interested:

Hello there,
It is nice to see an active news usenet group about A51... But I am just
curious... What is going on @ Area 51? What is tested there currently? What
is a destination of the base?
Best regards,

As if we know?

All we can talk about is new construction, i.e. what you see. The
triangular tower and the new hangar are about it.

We know what goes in a hangar. The tall tower seems to have fallen off
the radar in terms of interest. Trevor Paglen was the first to come up
with photographs.

So after looking into Howland, DLR, and your photo, I guess it is a
wireless RCS tower. I just can't imagine that company built that
tower and then put a photo on their site. If you right click it
shows /51-5 and the alternative text says it's a NOYFB Dynamic RCS.
Too phony! They didn't build that site.

Sorry just caught myself. You said "we know what goes in a hangar".
I thought you said "we know what goes in the hangar". Oh well

Yes, planes go in hangars! ;-)
