Maybe not, but it is a funny looking sight heading down ET HWY!!!
Click the link to see for yourself.  To me it looks like a giant tire
used on the large trucks in some of the Northern Nevada mines. Or
maybe it is some type of equipment that will hang off the triangular
tower to communicate with planets far far away!

I initially thought it was a tire. But the zoomed in shot shows some
metal. I really don't know what to make of it. You can see the license
plate is from Texas. [I'm assuming these C2C photos are the same size
as the originals.]

I've seen lots of heavy mining equipment moved on route 93. While I
think the NHP is a pretty reasonable organization, one of the odd
things they do is drive in the wrong lane when they move this gear. So
you are cruising along and see a PD mobile with the emergency lights
in your lane. The problem is most of these wide loads don't eat the
entire highway, so if you suddenly came across one, you probably could
move to the edge of the road and not hit. But there are lots of dips
on route 93 that can hide a vehicle in your lane. I really don't know
if it is safe to have the emergency vehicle in your lane. If the thing
is really really big, the NHP will drive miles ahead and stop you.
That kind of works, but in Nevada, people get on the road in all sorts
of places. When they do the Silver State Classic, they park a
volunteer at every dirt road along the route.

This was a shot where the NHP stopped me.
