facility at the Mojave airport (KMHV). Much of the "iron" is out in
the open at the facility. I don't recall seeing anything that would
fit what was photographed.
I've seen quite a few vanes and towers being shipped in recent years
on highways all over the country. There getting quite common.
But here's another thought on the "tire". Maybe it's a microwave/
satellite dish. I've seen some with a "wall" around the edge of the
dish. (Andrews makes some; you can probably look it up.) The "wall"
minimizes scatter of the radiation on transmit dishes. The size of
the mystery load seems close to the dishes I've seen.
I'm going to guess nada on the satellite dish. The dish isn't very
deep and the lip is kind of fat. I've seen lips on dishes when they
put a radome over the front.
I set George the URL for the department that licenses oversize loads.
Since this requires a permit, they might be able to trace the truck.
At least the photographer got the license plate.
