Ranging at 20km is impressive. This unit is substantially more
sophisticated than I would have guessed the guy on the ground uses.
With 5 meter accuracy, I'm guessing pulses in the 10ns width. So it's
not a fast as lidar, but probably hard to detect without significant
technology. I guess that is why the "bad guys" haven't come up with a
"holy crap they are painting us with a laser" detector.
