That doesn't look like a dude plate. It is a federal plate. Looks like
G62 1620A. G62 is GSA code for G62 - Truck - cargo 3/4 ton (4x4)

Still interesting. I got mistaken for a camo dude once. I was sitting
in my SUV where a camo cap. I was kind of pissed when a tourist
snapped a photo of me.

You raise a good point here. Next time I'm in Tonopah, I'm going to
log the plates and check out the sides of the Forest Service and BLM
vehices. Then when these situations crop up, we can spot them or at
least rule them out.

If it were Bald Mountain Road, I'd suspect the FAA. But Mail Box Road?
