I neglected to point out at one point "the person on the radio" gives
out one of the Beech Janet tail numbers, then switches to "whatever"
70.  I have some more audio taken a few days earlier by someone else
on which I'm told the "person on the radio" had no clue about FIDOE,
LIDAT, etc. I use the term "person on the radio" because I suspect in
the case of "whatever" 70 it is not the pilot but an experienced Janet
driver to provide some guidance to range procedures. The earlier
recordings may have been the pilot.

Geez, you think these newbie pilots would listen to a little Janet
scanner audio in their training. It's not like the audio is hard to
find!
