About 500 pixels from the left. Looks like a small tower on the hill
in the foreground. Or I'm inhaling....
In the 2nd one (cam2.jpg) it almost looks like a Yagi
on top of that mast/tower.

I think the deal with the 2nd photo is you are seeing a shadow from a
pole in the background. The photos were done at different times, hence
different shadows. I also thought there was an antenna in the 2nd shot
but changed my mind with the "shadow" theory.
I noticed there is a large tower at 37°15'5.90"N 115°46'32.08"W. It
is an area you can't see from Tikaboo. It might be what shows up in
the photo. I need to check it out with Mapsource. However, it sure
looks like there is a bit of infrastructure on the hill. Then again,
you see stuff on google earth and when you get their physically, there
really isn't anything there. Maybe the area is a bit devoid of growth
because there is too much rock at the surface, i.e. situations like
that.
I called the photos "cam" because it reminded me of the tower they put
up near the front gate a few years ago. But of course I have no idea
what is on the tower, or even if it is a tower.
Regarding the large tower, it does seem in the photo that the tower
goes right down to the ridge seen in the front of the photo, so maybe
that discounts the large tower being what is shown.
