Googling indicates that the picture is six years old or so (ca. 2004).
I'm pretty sure the plane in the video is black. I have an article on
a white F-117 on my PC someplace. They also show up as green when just
coated with primer.
I can't recall which book I read that indicated the ideal daytime
stealth color would be a grayish pink. Clearly the USAF would not
tolerate pink aircraft, uh not that there is anything wrong with
pink!
I put my theory (ok guess) on ATS that they are testing bistatic radar
or some other counter-stealth schemes and needed a low observable
platform to sniff. I doubt the F117 has a new mission since there are
now more capable aircraft that allegedly are just as stealthy and
certifiably faster. Given two daylight sightings, it is doubtful they
are training for a mission. These people aren't stupid.
