With polygons, I only see popup text when there's something included in the "Description" box for the item's properties, even a blank space. Another option is to add a path instead of a polygon, especially if you don't plan on filling it it anyway. You can create an xml (or gpx) file for a path that's based upon the actual legal description. Not the entire contents of the polygon.Current settings: LINES Width 3.0 Opacity 100% AREA Outlined Opacity 0%Doesn't matter how I set the AREA parameter. The current rev of GE reads garmin gdb now as well as gpx. I'll second creating the file outside of google earth. One problem with GE is the coordinates are not exactly on the money. You are better off using documents with actual coordinates. I've been updating my sbs overlays, and probably could write a script to generate them as gpx. In fact, if I had any brains, I would have started the project in gpx then scripted to the sbs-1 format. It would be a good project to take the legal description of Groom Lake land grabs and make a gpx file. Better yet, maybe overlay it to that free topo file. BTW, I'd like to get a garmin car nav for rental car use and also uploading a topo with trails. It's just a bitch to see my gps60csx screen while driving. Are all the Garmim Nuvi's mapsource compatible?
