*Whats happening with George Carlin?

Thanks,
Michael
Geoge Carlin:

Controversial comedian, actor, and author George Denis Patrick Carlin was
born on May 12, 1937 in New York City.
George was raised by his mother, Mary, who left the father when he was two
months old. He attended parochial school and was a altar boy, to which he
credited his avowed atheism by the the time he reached adulthood. Mary was a
secretary and devout C-tholic, and his father, Patrick, was a national
advertizing manager for the New York Sun.

At fifteen he had quite enough schooling and dropped out of
school in the ninth grade. He also developed a pattern of
running away from home on a regualar basis, thanks to a
contintuous relationship with his mother, and he enlisted in
the US Airforce in 1954, at the age of seventeen, seemed like
a good idea at the time. He was stationed at Bossier City, Louisiana,
trained as a radar technician, earned his high-school
equivalency, and, moonligthted as disc jockey on KJOE radio
in nearby Shreveport, on the downside, he also received three
court-martials and several disiplary punishments, was declared an
"uproductive airman," and was discharged in 1957.

While working at KXOL Rado in Forth Worth, Texas, George
met co-worker Jack Burns, and the two of them formed a comedy team, refining
that act at a coffehouse called the
Cellar before moving to Los Angeles in February 1960.
Calling themselves the "Wright Brothers," they hosted a
morning show on KDAY Radio ---------.

(JW Now I'll skip down to where Carlin wakes up on the
the other side of life.)

........................

    From Francine

I wish you could have seen the look of shock on George's
face when he emerged from the tunnel and discovered there
is really life after d-ath after all. And when he found his first
wife Brenda waiting to greet him, he was stunned into a long
silence while he held her, which I'm told he gaped at the
hundreds of s-irits and animals who gathered to the reunion
and said, "I'll be da-ned." George is an excellent example of the fact that
atheists are embraced on the Other Side as surely as the most devoutly
r-ligious, and with his humor, self-honesty,
and misguided but honorable intentions, he tried to live a g-dly lifetime,
no matter what words he used to define it.

(JW I'll try to continue this at a later time.)
