Does anyone know, what happened to the young Canadian guy, who rode a
dirtbike into Area51 back in 2006?
My friend told me, that he hung around camp for an hour or so asking
all sorts of questions. Then he just rode in at full speed with a
large, bulky backpack and a white flag strapped to the bike. According
to my friend, he looked like a man with a plan.
What's pretty weird is, that one of the campers spotted him again
about a month later at the Holiday Inn in Henderson as he got picked
up by a black van with tinted windows. He said, he was sure, it was
the same guy. Would'nt he go to jail or something? I mean being a
foreign national and all.
I'm pretty sure his name was Pierre Robert - like that radio geek.
Does anyone know, what happened to him or who he is?
Regards Holly
I never heard of Pierre Robert and 2006 wasn't all that long ago, i.e.
the caper should be on the internet.
There are numerous documented cases on youtube of alpha-hotels riding
dirt bikes and ATVs past the camo dudes. None have been arrested
simply because a dirt bike or ATV is hard to cut off at the pass. The
dudes would have a bigger headache on their hands if they chased
someone and that person injured themselves.
There have been plenty of arrests for those crossing the border.
Nobody was ever disappeared. They just pay a fine.
Note all the roads have magnetometer sensors. Even that road to range
61 that is nowhere near the base. But on a dirt bike, you could
certainly avoid the sensors if you stay off the roads. I assume at
some point close to the base they have microwave sensors to detect
intruders. Getting arrested near the base would be uncharted
territory. The Las Vegas Sun has some articles on a guy who got close
to the base on foot but was not discovered. Perhaps a true story. The
man is dead (natural causes) so there is no way to tell.
