   I read in Friday's local paper called The Union Democrat that a man who
had invetgated Flying Saucers had died on Jan. 19, 2012.  He had left Sonora
before i moved here and was well thought of by many people.

"Marvin E. Taylor Jr.  Jan. 28, 1936 & Jan 12, 2012.    Former longtime
Sonora resident Marvin E. Taylor Jr. died Jan. 12 at Memorial Hospital in
Modesto. He was 75.    Born in Angels Camp, he "Marvin E. Taylor Jr.

was 5, when his family moved to Oakland. He lived until 1954, attending 
Parker
Elementary, Frick Junior High and Fremont High School. He later moved to
Sonora, where he worked for the Mother Lode Dairy. In 1955, Mr. Taylor
enrolled at College of the Pacific, now the University of the Pacific, in
Stockton, where he met Mary-Jeanne Midge Schlegel, whom he later married.
Shortly before graduating from college, he was drafted into the U.S. Army
and served in Germany for two years. He then worked for Chevron in San
Francisco for 15 years, before moving to Sonora in 1972, where he began
working as an accountant for the Mother Lode Dairy.
He and his wife later opened Taylor Realty in downtown Sonora, which
included bookkeeping, tax preparation and employment placement.
Mr. Taylor was an active member of MUFON, the Mutual UFO Network
Association, in Tuolumne County, Modesto and the Bay Area.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his daughters, Melanie Taylor-Evans, of
Soulsbyville, and Kathleen Taylor of Emeryville; brother, Lee Taylor, of
Lodi, half-siblings, Bill Morris, of the Bay Area, and Doreen Morris, of
Murphys, many cousins; and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents,  Yolanda Morris and
Marvin E. Taylor Sr. rosary will be recited from 4 to 8 p.m. today (JW
That has already taken place in the past) at Lakewood Memorial Park
and Funeral Home in Hughson. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m.
Friday at Lakewood Memorial Park and Funeral Home is handling
arrangements.
