But Sir! What IS 'reality'?!

"There are other life forms that are not of the humanoid spectrum. The
Aquillians are one example. They are what you on the Earth plane would refer
to as being the reptilian energy. Many societies outside of your reality
focus are of the reptilian-like energy. Now you must be clear that the fact
they are not humanoid does not mean they are in opposition to you. All
societies, humanoid or not, are evolutionary in the Creator's Light, and
each society is loved by the Creator for its own experience."

When you read enough of these statements you begin to see a pattern emerge.
Aliens, the Supernatural, the New World Order, the Matrix -it's all related.
Then, in a flash of illumination, you realize you are also an agent of the
movement.

An example of a reptilian-like force that may not strike you as friendly
to the Earth plane was the Arcarthians. The Arcarthians were relatives of
the Aquillians. The remnants of their species traveled across your universe
in what you call a space ship, and came through a portal to the planet Mars
where they were stranded due to irreparable damage to their craft. The
Arcarthians arrived because their own planet was dying, having been depleted
of its natural resources. Because the Arcarthians were pure energetic
forces, they found that every living thing on Mars was digestible, and they
proceeded to absorb all that was there. Understand, my friends, this was not
a force that came to commit evil. They came to fortify themselves and to
find a planet that would best suit them. Mars was populated at that time by
humanoid entities similar to your Earth beings. The inhabitants were a
civilized population of two-brained entities who lived very simply and
peacefully. But because they had long since diminished their chromosomes of
defense, they became a perfect target for the Arcarthians.
To complete a very long and not very pretty story, the Arcarthians
absorbed the energy of everything and everyone, except for a few that found
their way beneath the surface of the planet to dwell in the caves below.
Eventually, over a period of thousands of years, the Arcarthians finally
turned upon each other until they themselves were completely eradicated...

I don't remember where I cribbed this stuff. I hope it wasn't L. Ron
Hubbard. The Scientologists take no prisoners.

They took me prisoner for a while, then they let me go again. I
remember sitting under a table with a certain Missy Hubbard, a comely
red-head who claimed to be a bastard daughter of ron. Apparently this
was aboard the sea-org and a guest sufi orchestra was playing,
strangest old quesey sad sounds I've ever heard. the sales people were
in one room being way to loud and the techno
people were in another room being way to quite, apparently they were
in the habit of using their brain implants to do any comunicating they
needed to do. So I was sitting-hiding under a table with Missy and she
offer me a hit of a STP spiked clear liquuer. Ummm Bacon flavored! So
we retire to the hole where the sails are folded and do it on top of
the sails. Chat a while and Missy insists that the core Scientolgist
are actual more into Crowley then Ron. Ron himself insist that what he
has is actually a modern extension of an old sufi mystery school. I'm
like whatever, where am I? So I'm back in the hold with Missy and she
plays two Elvis Costello records on two turntables slightly out of
sink and the effect makes me barf. Oh well. Then she leaves for a
while saying "when I leave don't follow" kind of sinister like. So I'm
sitting there with my eyes closed and I have this effect of
acceleration - going faster and faster and faster and I'm freaking out
thinking if this doesn't stop I'll have a stroke! So I take this tab
of Meladrell I just happen to have in my pocket. Wrong move since a
major trank like this will only make matters worse on a Phen trip.
Soon Missy returns and she freaks out when I tell her what I did.
Furious she screams "I told you to trust me, I told you I'd get you
through this. YOU ARE GOING TO HELL!!!" Which I did. When I finally
got home again I swear to god I was not on the same linear time track
that I was on when I started - (was ambushed/fell in/down the rabbit
hatch) Since then I tend to avoid cult contact, The main thing with
cults is they seem to have CIA mind-control connections which is weird
enough but weirder yet is they seem to have a subordinate hook-up with
the people up ahead, you know the ones with the time travel
technology. This stuff is too trickey what with all the Paradox and
Hi-Jinx and the fluidity that it grants to reality tends to shift the
Real back down to the Astral and indeed all is Maya - Prematurely!
That way goes maddness. Even Ron became increasingly confused untill
eventually he had to be isolated to avoid newbies from seeing what a
goof they got on top. Apparently this is pretty commen with aging
head-dudes, Ides of March and all that.So what did I end up with?
Dreams that all seem like recalled memories to me with no contained
limits. I was never a Scientogist, I was just involuntarily taking the
grand tour in a "why me lord" sort of stage prop, test animal sort of
way. No great glamor show. It's a little frustrating that the people
who actual know what I'm talking about and could clarify my confusion
never do. The power of Taboo is still very powerfull across these
subject matters. I guess In the Major Arcanium the fool would have
been my card. Fantastic exposure to unbelievable impressions which I
will never be able to make sense of. More and more recovered everytime
i enter REM. STRANGE WORLD!!! Mundane and weird and sealed and tucked
away and wonderfull. A static treasure chest that only becomes dynamic
in being past back to us. The gods take joy in our child-like eyes of
wonder, for them it's all old hat. They vicariously live a-new trough
us. Funny thing is I'm regarded by all that know me as quite sane, and
I am, yet I have this funny, half-baked inner-world knowlege that if I
talked too freely about to the wrong people would get me tagged as
mentally ill. OH WELL.

Most of the trips taken there were positive and pleasant, though one

  Peyote on the Brain
Is the secret to alcoholism and other
addictions locked up in hallucinogenic drugs?
  By John Horgan

Even with several tablespoons of peyote in me,
by 3 in the morning I'm fading. For almost six hours
I have been sitting in a tepee in the Navajo Nation,
the largest Indian reservation in the United States,
with 20 Navajo men, women, and children. They belong
to the Native American Church, which has 250,000 members
nationwide. Everyone except the four children has eaten
the ground-up tops, or buttons, of peyote, Lophophora
williamsii. U.S. law classifies the squat cactus and its
primary active ingredient, mescaline, as Schedule 1
substances, illegal to sell, possess, or ingest. The law
exempts members of the Native American Church, who revere
peyote as a sacred medicine.

[] Descartes' Error: Emotion, Reason, and the Human Brain

[] [<http://www.uiowa.edu/~neuro/Faculty/damasioa.htm>]
[] Avon Books - New York, 1994

[]
[] "By itself, the emotional response can accomplish some useful
[] goals: speedy concealment from a predator, for instance, or
[] display of anger toward a competitor. The process does not
[] stop with the bodily changes that define an emotion, however.
[] The cycle continues, certainly in humans, and its next step
[] is the _feeding of the emotion_ in connection to the object
[] that excited it, the realization of the nexus between object
[] and emotional body state. Now, it may be asked, why would
[] anyone need to become cognizant of such a relation? Why
[] complicate matters and bring consciousness into this process,
[] if there is already a means to respond adaptively at an
[] automated level? The answer is that consciousness buys an
[] enlarged protection policy."
[] [...]
[] "Primary emotions (read innate, preorganized, Jamesian)
[] depend on limbic system circuitry, the amygdala and anterior
[] cingulate being the prime players. Evidence that the amygdala
[] is the key player in preorganized emotion comes from the
[] observations in both animals and humans. The amygdala has been
[] the precise focus of various animal studies by Pribram,
[] Weiskrantz, Aggleton and Passingham, and more recently, and
[] perhaps most comprehensively, by Joseph LeDoux. Other
[] contributions to the field include those of E.T. Rolls, Michael
[] Davis, and of Larry Squire and his group, whose work, although
[] aimed at understanding memory, also revealed a connection between
[] the amygdala and emotion. The amygdala was also implicated in
[] emotion by Wilder Penfield and by Pierre Gloor and Eric Halgreen
[] when they studied epileptic patients whose surgical evaluation
[] required electrical stimulaton of varied regions in the temporal
[] lobe. More recently there have been supporting observatiions on
[] the human amygdala by investigators in my group and in retrospect,
[] the first hint that amygdala and emotion might be related can be
[] found in the work of Heinrich Kluver and Paul Bucy, who showed
[] that surgical resection of the part of the temporal lobe containing
[] the amygdala created affective indifference, among a variety of
[] other symptoms.
[] [...]
[] "But the mechanism of primary emotions does not describe the full
[] range of emotional behaviors. [...] Structures in the limbic system
[] are not sufficient to support the process of secondary emotions.
[] The network must be broadened, and it requires the agency of
[] prefrontal and of somatosensory cortices." [(From Chpt. 7:
