I may be the only one to reply to your post. To make it short, you need
to do some simple research to find the answers to all of your questions.
The answers will definitely disappoint you as they will show that this
is one of the poorest hoaxes to date. But, as with some Broadway plays,
no matter how bad a production is presented there will always be those
who will say it was the best thing they saw. In the dictionary, next to
the word "hoax" you can find a picture of Travis Walton with a
shit-eating grin on his face.

I'm pretty interested in the Walton case...it's been widely scrutinized
but I have a bunch of thoughts that no one seems to address...if no one
cares about Travis Walton you can stop reading here...
-If Walton wasn't abducted where the hell was he for five days?
-How do 7 people with no loyalty or allegiance to each other (other than
Walton and Rogers) keep the same exact story for 20+ years....unless it
really happened?
-What motive did these people have for pulling off a hoax? Money?
No...they got, I believe, five grand from the tabloids...split 7 ways
that doesn't seem like much...the only one who made any profit from this
was Walton and not till the movie came out twenty years later...Walton
is also the only one who got any fame for this....other motives include
those guys being way behind on their contract and doing the hoax to get
out of it...but this theory has already been shot down by the logging
people....they agreed Rogers would have gained almost nothing by doing
this....
-failed/passed lie detector tests...ahh the biggest thing about this
case...debunkers point to the first lie detector test as Walton
failing...which he covered up with his brother and believers point to
all the other ones in which they passsed....well you can't have it both
ways....whether or not you believe this happened you have to take into
account that Walton covered up the first test he failed miserably but he
passed most of the tests given to him and the crew passed almost all of
theirs....
-mother and brother comments...while Walton was "missing" supposedly the
mother showed no emotion and/or fear of her son being gone...meanwhile
the brother Duane wished he was with his brother who was having a hell
of a time and knew they'd bring him back...he publically said all
this....I love how the skeptics use this as a sign of a hoax....ummm
people if they were in on the hoax...why would Duane have been so open
about him being so sure they would bring Travis back? Wouldn't he
pretend to think the crew murdered him or something? Or just pray he
would be found? Same goes for the mother...wouldn't she be in tears in
public and be afraid if this was a hoax?
-the site of the alleged ufo encounter. There was no evidence at the
site...absolutely nothing that looked like something extraordinary had
gone on. If this had been a hoax, wouldn't the crew (or whoever was in
on it) have planted something there? Maybe some torn clothing, blood,
chopped down tree(they were lumberjacks weren't they?), whatever...my
point is they may not be smart but they weren't brain dead...no evidence
at all suggests either the story is true...or these people were
reeeaaally stupid and didn't think it would be important to make it
clear something happened...
-Finally...I dunno this is just me but I don't think these blue collar
types were capable of the great acting that would be needed to fool law
enforcement and others (they were said to be genuinely shook up)....or
set up a hoax in which they would need to remove all evidence before the
cops showed up with absolutely no evidence of any human activity....if
all were in on the hoax and there wasn't anything going in the area at
all...well I have a tough time believing they would think they could get
away with it with no evidence at all...this is an interesting
case....thoughts?
