there are "Foaming True Believer's" and "Raving Lunatic Debunkers". The
first group... life would be great if they could just be allowed to
discuss
the subject they are interested in. The second group, well, they prevent
that.
Here's where you're wrong.
Woo-woos are in no way disallowed to discuss their kooky, stupid,
fucked-up, whacked out ideas.
I see insane, preposterous, non-scientifically supported hogwash spewed
by kooks on Usenet every day.
So, who's stopping them?
Wait...did you mean "discuss their ideas with no contradictory views or
challenges to their irrational, fragile beliefs"?
I'll bet you did.
Haha, no, you misunderstood that and now that i read what I wrote I see that
I made in confusing. What I meant was that things would be great if the
rational proponents and honest sceptics could have a discussion without the
FTBs or RLDs around. It wasn't clear the way I wrote it, but that's why I
used the word "group".
It would be great if we pulled out of Iraq, my neighbors' dog would stop
barking, and I won the lottery, too.
This is an unmoderated forum, anyone can post here, and so they do.
