Hey, a homeboy! Nice to see posters from my home town. :) Been to Nick Taho's
for a garbage plate lately (flies are extra)? :)

Beans,

Unless I read you wrong you were serious in your post. The response you
got was not respectful.

I was being serious, but I don't know that I'd actually try and do it. I
was actually thinking it would be fun to go to Gulf Breeze or somewhere
and go camping with a friend and videotape ourselves as we make jokes and
try to get in danger of being abducted. It just seems like a way I could
make peace with my past fear of it.

Back before 1997, when I was not skeptic of alien visitation I considered such
as you above. Actually after a 1980 up close an personal sighting, such
considerations were were pretty much dropped, FOR GOOD.

Oh, I see I used my Bean Fried Pork handle there. I'm 24 myself, and have
also avoided this newsgroup do to the seemingly lack of good discussion
here. UFOs are a subject I take seriously, and it would be nice if there
was a place to discuss it seriously without having to waste so much time
fighting debunkers.

Tell me about!

I've been attempting to debate with UFO debunkers here since 1996.

After a while one can see the game that is played in UFOlogy, especially the
rhetoric between hardcore ET proponents and the UFO debunker.

At least ET proponents accept that real UFO type crafts exist.

The UFO debunker's game is simple and trivial to play. Heck, my 8 year old could
be a UFO debunker just as good as any that as ever existed. The game is simple.
Deny that real UFO type crafts exist, regardless of who or what made them, at
all costs. Hide behind, and ask for "physical evidence" which they know will not
be allowed to publicly exist. Lie. Ridicule. And when the going gets tough
direct the discussion towards unattainable visiting aliens.

Between the blame attributed to visiting aliens, and the UFO debunkers complete
and total denial, human made UFO type crafts, and the heinous acts committed
with them, will stay hidden for quite some time. As well will the truths or
falsehood of visiting ETs.

Certainly there are charlatans and people looking to
make jackasses of themselves in this subject,

No question, it is part of the game.

but it would be nice if that
could be dealt with without having to reiterate why I believe in this
phenomenon over and over and over again.

Exactly!!!

The UFO debunker's drive the discussion towards the actual existence of these
crafts (then ETs if they get in a bind).

We need to move the discussion towards the best methods to disclose the truths
of these crafts, not whether they exist or not.

The ET proponents fall into the traps set by the dishonorable debunkers, and end
up arguing of the existence of these crafts, or get caught in flame wars.

It has been this way for 50 plus years.

We can change it though. :)

Thank you for responding
seriously.
