It has often been suggested that if extraterrestrials ever did make a
well-publicised arrival on Earth, the public reaction would be a mass
panic
resulting in total anarchy and thousands of deaths. Conspiracy theorists

I personally doubt there would be any so called mass panic at the
announcement of alien visitors. Considering the variety of incredible
events that go on in this world (ie. natural disasters, terrorist attacks,
wars, etc.), I think people are strong enough to digest news of alien
presence without a freaking out to the point of mass panic and everyone
running on the streets like mad.

What I do think would cause some chaos in a geo-political sense, is if
society was to suddenly change due to the introduction of advanced
technologies, which for example, rendered fossil fuels and modern day
energy
production obsolete. If you haven't already guessed, I am referring to
some of the scenarios being described by Steven Greer of
www.disclosureproject.org.

I wonder if the problem is that many people may have an issue with the old
Hebrew Bible.

The old Hebrew Bible (well, the collection of Genesis scripts) tells of
"Them" and "They" when it refers to "god". The individual "I am" bit comes
with later "gospels".
There is also this little section that talks of flying silver wheels with a
glowing but flameless fire underneath them.... All old.... All hebrew....

Now. I really don't believe that the goverments haven't worked this little
issue out, especially when it comes to UK Christianity and the position of
the church on several matters. Moreover, they don't seem interested in
researching which is true; God or UFO's....

If anything, maybe they're trying to avoid 300 religion related nervous
breakdowns per square mile.
