Well stated.  The debunkers credibility is now at
such an historical all-time low, one has to wonder if
THEY even believe their own clap-trap anymore!!

But the scientific data was there, from thousands
of crop circles, the thousands of trace cases where

The tens of thousands of released military documents,
testimony of hundreds of ex military personnel,
and thousands of videos, pictures, NASA leaks, 
etc. etc. etc.

Saying that does not make it true. You must support your wild
assertions with verifiable evidence if you want anyone to take you
seriously (which, obviously, nobody does at present).

Hey, Rembrandt, count me out for a start. There is nothing more
arrogant than the assumption that your point of view is the right
one, therefore everyone by definition must agree with it, or they
will (obviously!) not be taken seriously. The rigid standards of 'evidence' that
are demanded, i.e., crashed saucers, alien bodies etc., are 
totally ureasonable, but debunkers capitalise on it to the hilt,
while at the same time seeking to discredit the witness and
UFO experiencer at every opportunity. I don't call that 'scientific',
where combined weight of witness testimony and circumstantial evidence
is ignored, in favour of the so-called 'extraordinary evidence' demanded
by Carl Sagan. Why don't you include in your 'evidence', the reams of
blacked-out documents unearthed by diligent researchers, the 
obfuscations, harrassment, threats, monitoring, and continual obstacles
placed in the way of those who make diligent efforts to uncover the truth?
the testimony of whistleblowers and former insiders who have been ignored,
ridiculed, and slated at every turn? The painstaking research of people like
W.C. Levengood whos work is largely ignored?

So the government knows nothing about it all, huh? do, please, give me a break.

People like you never acknowledge anything other than your
own impossible standards, which you seek to impose on everyone 
whos point of view differs from your own. This is supposed to be 'science.'
But you use supposedly 'scientific' protocols like weapons,
and you are no better than a mediaeval inquisitor engaged in
a witch-hunt, zealous for your religion, intolerant of those who differ.
     So I'll carry on making 'wild' assertions, and perceiving
the world as a place where UFOs and coverups are a strong
probablilty.
