What strikes me in the Popular Mechanics article is that it is mentioned
in these " classified boxes " is newspaper clippings and magazine
articles about UFO sightings. Wilson brushes this off as " nothing new
" and old hat in general.
But think about it, why would public reported information be put in a
classified top secret file to begin with? What is the big secret here to
be put in a classified file?........Unless the government had other
information that would support the notion that these sightings, reported
widely in the public, had a genuine alien validity to them?
Otherwise it would make no sense to put information in a classified file
that was of no consequence and was widely reported the public to begin
with. One just does not put useless widely known knowlege in a
classified file with no bearing on the subject at hand.
But the debunkers are in such a mindset that they cannot see the forrest
for the trees. I contend that these sightings reported in newspapers and
magazine articles were in a classified file BECAUSE there IS something
to them. Not because they constitute useless information of no
consequence or bearing on the subject as Wilson contends.
