None of these links include the quote in question.  Some do indicate the CIA
had friendly journalists help it out, and that some CIA agents used the role
of journalist as their cover story, but do not confirm Colby claimed to
"own" all prominent media figures.

Just double-checked tim on this list and he is correct - No Colby
quotes appear.

I can't seem to find an on-line copy of his endnotes.  I'll check
around and see if I can find a primary source for the Colby quote in
there.

So far, all I have seen are secondary, unsubstantiated cites. 
Kinda hard to believe a quote when there is no primary source
documentation.  Simple question - Where did he make this statement?
