What happened with Dr. Reed's OdysseyLink Website? 
I have been perusing the internet to find an answer to this question and
here is what I had recently come up with. The message to follow is
supposedly from the webmaster of that site.

{The Reed website is now closed} A note from the webmaster; 
Recent allegations have come to light that Jonathan created a false
identity. I have received communications this week from Jonathan
admitting that he, indeed, created a false identity - Dr. Jonathan Reed.
He asserts that he did so in an effort to protect family and friends
from the ridicule and harassment associated with cases of this nature.
He further asserts that, despite claims to the contrary, the encounter
did, in fact, happen. 
After a great deal of deliberation, I have decided to temporarily keep
the OdysseyLink site intact (with some minor exceptions *) instead of
taking it down while we get the whole story for the following
substantive reasons;... continue at Odyssey website.

The above information was presented in an online newsletter referred to
as "UFO Casebook Newsletter" and was issued on June-01-2002. 
Note: If the story does indeed turn out to a hoax (which 
is never an impossibility) I will present my findings here on Usenet. I
cannot, however, base my conclusions solely on the fact that simply
because he created a false identity, and that others feel the photos are
fake that it automatically implies a hoax. I do not however dismiss the
possibility that it is a hoax, however, I do not assume with certainty
that it was. In other words I remain impartial while leaving things up
to the readers to decide for themselves. 
At this time I have only conducted tentative research. As more
information becomes available I will present it within 1/2 an hour that
I have the new details.
