Daniel Fry claimed to have been contacted by a saucer while he was at
the White Sands proving grounds on July 4, 1949. He was offered, and
accepted, an invitation to ride in a empty cargo saucer for a trip
from New Mexico to New York which took 30 minutes.

He went on to write several books, including "The White Sands
Incident" which gives tha account of saucer experience. Fry also
founded an organization named "Understanding" which had local "Units"
in accross the country and in several foreign countries.

The main activity of this group appears to be publishing the
"Understanding" newsletter. Eventually, some sort of compound was
established in Tonopah, Arizona.

"Understanding" was one of the "grand daddies" of the new age
movement!

Does anyone have any further information about Daniel Fry, his
Understanding organization, and what went on at the Tonopah location?

Also, there is info that the Denver UFO Society video recorded a 2
hour interview between Daniel Fry and Ken DeMary back in 1990.
