This is some of the best science fiction I've read on usenet. It's
interesting, well written and almost internally consistant. With a little
more work on structure and narartive flow, plus some believeable characters,
you could probably get a decent novel out of this stuff.
Unless of course "RDButler" is a psuedonym for a would-be sci-fi author
who's just trying out plot ideas on a receptive audience. The June 1955
issue of Fantastic Stories carried a story called "Too Tough To Bury" by a
Ron Butler, and the creator of the 1980's TV series "Remington Steele" was a
Robert Butler, who also directed several epidodes of "The New Adventures of
Superman". Could they by any chance be related?
