Futurist Ray Kurzweil recently remarked on the TechTV show "The
Screensavers" that in 25 years or so (I think this is optimistic
personally) we'll have millions or billions of nannites enhancing our
brain performance by replacing or augmenting its relatively slow
chemical signaling systems with wireless communication networks that can
communicate much more quickly (speed of light).
Being a non-dualist the idea that aliens communicate telepathically has
always been hard to swallow for me. (I don't believe personally in a
"spirit" world that coexists with the material world in the conventional
sense...an "emergent" spiritual world may exist in my current estimation
but this is too much of a tangent from the current discussion to bother
explaining right now)
It seems to me now, however, that given Kurzweil's predictions aliens
may be able to communicate telepathically if their brains are similarly
augmented by wireless networking capabilities. Nannites seem like an
efficient way to integrate computational electronics and communications
capabilities with a biological species so I thought I'd drop a note to
the group and see what you folks think.
Not that I'm sold on the alien idea but after watching several recent
shows (Out of the Blue, UFOs: 50 Years of Denial, UFOs: Then and Now)
and reading several books (UFOs and the National Security State, The
Missing Times, and Disclosure) I'm starting to have more respect for the
topic as a valid category of inquiry.
Just my two cents...
