FYI, interested parties should check this BBC report: As stated in
their banner, an 'Aircraft' was detected by radar but classified as a 
"blip" by a FAA spokesman. The report may be examined at:

A scan/search of CNN and The Washington Post (online) did not find
this report.

BTW, as a former FAA Long Range Radar and Terminal Display Technician,
the term "blip" is technically invalid. Anything displayed long enough
to cause an interception attempt would be 'something' more
substantial.

negate classical physical laws.

Perhaps, and this is where witnesses become important; IF something
more substantial WAS present,  .gov types would never admit this.

Why the BBC carried this on their front page is of extreme interest!
