Yes, I have tried to help him and encouraged him
to go back to his treatment, but to no avail.

Perhaps this is the final "push" he will need to
seek much needed help, that would be great if
it did help.

of extraterrestrial visitations.  And it must go WAY 
beyond that.  Alien implants; CHECK, alien experimentation, CHECK,
alien brain-washing, CHECK, long-term alien victim, CHECK,
