Pete, Artie, you honestly don't have to read this post.
There is nothing of National Security Concern here.
I'll stop posting so much in 2004.
[contemplating aliens, their society, and why people would want to leave
Earth to live in an alien society]
You mean you'd miss being held hostage to wage slavery?
Most New Zealanders work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.
Australians and New Zealanders are doing better within the past 30
years than ever in know history.
People need food, shelter and clothing in order to live. On Earth people
are required to pay money to get these things. People are forced to give
their time and abilities to their employer in exchange for money in order to
buy food, shelter and clothing. If people do not give their time and
abilities to their employers, they will not survive, they will starve to
death, or die of exposure to the elements. They have no choice, it's that
way everywhere on Earth.
No, no, no...
People do have a choice.
In fact, with online internet courses these days
it is easier than ever to obtain more education and other diplomas.
You and I could even give up kook rants tomorrow
and start a freedom fries farm !!
That's freedom !
60 years ago and for 100s and 1000s of years before,
it took 3 hours just to wash and dry some clothes by hand at home.
Finally after about 200,000+ years we invented washing machines.
Even with modern inventions, the above still exists.
incorrect,
6 months ago we got a very modern secondhand washing machine.... and
it does all the work.
Wow, if I had 200 million dollars, I'd make a Hollywood movie about
robots in the future !!
(better than Bicentennial Man or A.I. Artificial Intelligence)
The aliens don't use money or have any use for it.
Maybe they use telepathy I.O.U's
Anyway, what species are you talking about ?
Little green ones ? :)
All the aliens visiting here on Earth. A space faring species would have no
need for money. Their space vehicle must support their need for food
shelter and clothing or they would not be able to survive in space.
Judging from the sci-fi I've studied... they'd get around pretty fast
in between meals.
You mean you'd miss George Bush yammering on TeeVee about how we need to
kill more people for profit?
I'd rather see George Bush than AL Gore.
(AL Gore was too soft)
George Bush and Dick Cheney are directly profiting (read making money) from
the death of people.
Worse than that is nature and old age and slowly going gray and
wrinkled with achy bones.
I live near an old-folks home.
Yeah, sure, most are happy to be alive and fiddling with their
hobbies. But it is a slow and sad process.
The aliens don't kill each other or humans.
Did the aliens tell you that?
Yes and I've also observed that.
By the laws of mathematics, not all intelligent life in the Universe
would be cute and friendly.
You mean you'd miss all the starving people in the world because there's an
inequitable distribution of wealth?
If the Africans can't build factories, look after their soil, care for
their vegetation, police much bigger wildlife reserves and parks, etc,
etc, etc....
The African problem is directly related to ignorance and over population.
Learning would help them. But who's teaching them?
Not President Mugabe of Zimbabwe, that's for sure.
that is their stupid problem.
No, it's our problem, everyone on Earth.
Most of the billions of people on Earth don't think about the Earth
the way you and I do.
When I was in China I noticed most people would do anything to get an
expensive lunch and sex.
Even if it means stealing, lying, polluting the rivers, killing all
the ducks and sparrows. etc, etc.
I'm not perfect, I sometime throw tins in the rubbish bin instead of
the recycle bin.
But I'd rather sit in a beautiful park eating fish or fruit and bread,
feeding the ducks bread... than eating all the ducks, and polluting
the river with crap.
Most of the world's money is in the hands of 2% of the world population.
That's an enormous inequitable distribution of wealth. How did it get that
way?
People like freedom and going to Casinos.
Big deal !!
(pardon the pun)
Little old poor New Zealand has huge specialist Universities working
on ideas for land care, wildlife and national park care, and large
enthusiastic department of conservation teams to enforce their
agendas.
What about helping others because it's the right thing to do?
Maybe because there isn't an Educated Kind International Population
Control System. i.e. If the hard working scientists in Australia and
New Zealand offer their best for free to Africa.
The population there might tipple, causing more ecosystem damage, even
if they did have electric cars or something.
The oceans are being abused as it is.
I watched a '60 minutes' documentary about Africans going to Europe to
buy cars. The cars were very tidy nice second-hand cars in Europe.
But by the time the cars made it to auction in cities in Africa, every
single car had been dented, vandalized, looted, driven badly and
scraped, by handlers there.
It was very chaotic and funny.
But a total on going mess.
I think that's an indicator that the Africans have a warped sense of need.
How did that happen?
Don't you drive a car ? :)
(or catch a taxi)
And Dr Greer wants to give billions of people magic technology ?
ROTFL hahah ... no way, not yet.
What would happen if everyone on Earth suddenly was able to manufacture
(replicate) anything they wanted or needed to survive? Would they build
weapons of mass destruction?
You go out on the streets and ask individuals this question....
Q: "Would you like to rule the Earth?"
A: (mostly) "yes".
Or would they built fancy cars? Think about
it. This is the equivalent of winning a billion dollar lottery -- what
would you do with THAT much money?
An improved U.N. backed global education project about Earth.....
(on BBC three times a day)
1. Kindly and cleverly bring the population back down to 3 billion.
(with everyone's help)
2. Newer cleverer friendly systems for farming the oceans for food.
(ocean trawlers today are criminal)
3. An international U.N. backed project to create bigger national
parks in every country.
(with sufficient fire breaks, etc)
4. Help a few more countries, like the Coalition are doing in Iraq.
5. Then maybe some of this.....
http://www.theaircar.com
Give it away?
Some of it to the Salvation Army.
Or would you keep it for
yourself like the 2% of the population who has most of the money?
Some people that made 100's of millions do good things.
i.e. a U.S. business man involved with the America's Cup
donated a few million dollars to grow trees around the foot-hills in
some city here.
And I'm not being racist.
I have friends from Africa, Japan, India, Germany, etc.
I'm not a racist either.
The aliens provide for all of themselves.
genetic engineered mushroom caterpillar mould croutons ?
Technically, they live in what human beings would define as perfect
communism. I'm not referring to what humans think of communism, because
there's never been a communistic government on Earth -- not even China or
Russia. In communism, there are no leaders, no government -- everyone
supports each other's existence and their own. In communism each individual
works for the common cause: survival, advancement and preservation.
Sounds logical for some advanced intelligent ETs.
But try telling that to the people on the lists here...
http://amw.com
etc. etc. etc.
I wouldn't miss Earth at all, except the beauty of the natural environment.
Well, if you ever get time off from UFO kook rants....
check out Queenstown, New Zealand.
(it is better than the photos)
Earth is a natural beauty, and human beings are just part of it all.
"This research revealed that the ozone formed from air pollutant
emissions in East Asia, in particular, is transported to the upper
troposphere, and carried on the westerlies to North America and
Europe."
